Merlin FAB1 Fire Alarm ByPass Panel

The Merlin FAB1, which stands for Fire Alarm Bypass, can be integrated with any product from the Merlin suite, allowing operators to temporarily bypass the gas isolation system. With prior notice of a fire alarm test, the operator can turn the key to the “on” position, ensuring an uninterrupted gas supply for 10 to 45 minutes. During this period, the gas system will disregard shut-off signals from the building’s fire alarm, allowing systems like heating to remain operational. The bypass time is adjustable using the blue switches inside the panel. Gas can still be turned off by pressing the emergency gas shut-off button, which will close the gas solenoid valve.
