The sensor cable may be extended to a maximum of 150 m using a 3-conductor wire with a cross-section of 1.5 mm2. The sensor cable should be shielded if it is laid in cable ducts or in the vicinity of high-voltage carrying cables. The shield of the extension cable should be grounded at the controller end only.
Please note that the HARD-79 Sensor (651224-000), a direct replacement sensor for the Raystat-ECO-10 thermostat, is the same construction as the HARD-78 but with a shorter cable of only 100mm. This HARD-78 sensor is of the same sensing type (PT-100, 3 Wire) and can be used in the Raystat ECO-10 and cut to length.
