The Merlin CS1 Current Monitor is a single-fan current monitor designed for use with the Merlin range of kitchen ventilation interlock systems. It can serve as an alternative to an air pressure differential switch. The live wire running between the fan controller and the fan passes through the hole and is looped around the coil to enhance sensitivity. As the fan operates and current flows through the live feed, a magnetic field is generated in the coil. The current switch then sends a closed contact via two low voltage cables to any Merlin Gas Interlock System.
