At Trace Heating Supplies, we are dedicated to supporting our customers in meeting their environmental and sustainability objectives. We do this by delivering energy-efficient solutions that help minimise waste, reduce emissions, and optimise resource consumption.
Our advanced trace heating and leak detection solutions enable clients to operate more sustainably and efficiently. Through intelligent automation and control technologies, we provide systems for water, gas, and fuel leak detection, alongside trace heating applications including hot water temperature maintenance, frost protection, and process temperature control, helping to improve performance while reducing environmental impact.

The Waterwise Checkmark acknowledges the practical measures we have implemented to improve water efficiency and promote sustainable water use. It marks an important step in our sustainability journey and demonstrates our commitment to embedding responsible practices throughout our organisation.

Actions Taken So Far:




- Installed 40 x 450W solar panels and a 20kW Solis inverter to generate renewable energy and help power our facilities more sustainably.
- Upgraded to sensor-controlled LED lighting systems across our buildings, reducing energy consumption by automatically switching off lighting in unoccupied areas.
- Implemented centrally controlled heating and cooling systems to optimise energy use during working hours and minimise unnecessary consumption outside of operational periods.
- Introduced advanced water leak detection technology, including both site-wide and localised monitoring systems, with automatic shut-off capabilities to prevent water loss and wastage.
- Installed electric vehicle (EV) charging points for employees and visitors, alongside a fleet replacement strategy to transition company-owned vehicles to EVs at the end of their lifecycle.
- Delivered employee training and engagement initiatives to encourage sustainable behaviours, including participation in the Cycle to Work Scheme, World Earth Day, Water Saving Week, and various community projects.
- Established an Environmental Group to promote sustainability initiatives, drive employee engagement, and support the reduction of our organisational carbon footprint.
- Maintained ISO 14001 accreditation for over five years, demonstrating our commitment to environmental management, and joined the Supply Chain Sustainability School to enhance sustainability knowledge and best practices across the build environment sector.
