Description
The motorised ball valves offer the following advantages over solenoid valves:
- Motorised ball valves (MBVs) are full pipe bore sizes and offer no restriction to water flow.
- There is no minimum water pressure required to operate MBVs.
- MBVs are fail safe (normally closed/driven open) and have an inbuilt power reservoir that will close the valve in the event of a leak being detected or a power supply failure.
- These MBVs do not require exercising to prevent scale and metal deposits forming, which can prevent solenoid valves from closing when required by the leak detection panel.
- The MBVs have a manual override function and visual open/closed position indicator.
- Minimal power usage when static, no permanently powered coils that get hot.
- 3m of connection cable pre-fitted.

Please note: a 12Vdc power supply is required to operate these valves and this is supplied via a small transformer (DC-TXA), which is supplied with the valve. A full wiring diagram is supplied with the valve.
