Description
RAYSTAT-M2-G-SENSOR is a ground sensor for the detection of temperature and moisture in outdoor snow- and ice-melting applications. It is supplied with a 10 m connection cable and is designed for embedding directly into the surface of the area to be monitored. The sensor detects ground temperature and the presence of snow or ice. The snow-melting system will be energised only when the surface temperature is below the selected setting and moisture is detected, ensuring reliable and energy-efficient operation.
The sensor should be installed in locations where snow and ice problems typically occur. It must be mounted on a hard foundation in a concrete base, with the top of the sensor flush with the surface. Where an asphalt surface is used, the sensor should be installed in a concrete recess. The sensor cable must be installed in accordance with local regulations, and the use of cable conduit is recommended.
