Description
Raychem RAYSTAT-M2-R-SENSOR is a moisture detection sensor designed for installation in gutters or drain pipes as part of a roof and gutter de-icing system. It is used in combination with the RAYSTAT-M2 thermostat and the RAYSTAT-M2-A-SENSOR ambient temperature sensor.
The sensor detects the presence of moisture, while the RAYSTAT-M2-A-SENSOR monitors outdoor temperature. The snow-melting system is energised only when moisture is detected and the ambient temperature is below the selected setpoint, ensuring efficient and demand-based operation.
Supplied with a 10 m connection cable, the RAYSTAT-M2-R-SENSOR should be installed in a gutter or drain pipe, preferably on the sunny side of the building. For reliable detection, the sensor contact point must be positioned in the direction of meltwater flow.
